LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench) เป็นระบบการออกแบบและพัฒนาสำหรับการเขียนโปรแกรมภาษา Visual Programming Language จาก National Instruments. ภาษากราฟิกชื่อ “G” LabVIEW เปิดตัวครั้งแรกสำหรับ Apple Macintosh ในปี 1986 โดยทั่วไปจะใช้สำหรับเก็บข้อมูลการควบคุมอุปกรณ์และระบบอัตโนมัติทางอุตสาหกรรมในระบบปฏิบัติการที่หลากหลาย (OSs) รวมถึง Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux และ macOS รุ่นต่างๆ LabVIEW เวอร์ชันล่าสุดคือ LabVIEW 2019 และ LabVIEW NXG 3 เปิดตัวในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2019
LabVIEW เป็นโปรแกรมที่ใช้พัฒนา Application โดยหลักการคล้ายกับ Visual Basic ต่างกันเพียงด้านที่เขียนโปรแกรม ใช้การเขียนโปรแกรมโดย Graphic โดย Function ที่ใช้งานมีลักษณะเป็น Module ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างใช้การ Wiring สายต่อกันเหมือนเป็นการต่อวงจรไฟฟ้า ซึงทำให้เขียนโปรแกรมได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ความสามารถของโปรแกรม LabVIEW เนื่องจากบริษัท National Instrument(NI) ซึ่งเป็นผู้พัฒนาโปรแกรม LabVIEW มี Product ในการพัฒนาอยู่มากมายทั้ง Hardware และ Software จึงทำให้โปรแกรม LabVIEW มีความสามารถในการติดต่อ Hardware อย่างหลากหลาย เช่น DAQ (Data acquisition card), IEEE488, RS-232 ,RS-485 ,USB , Parallel Port ,SPK.MIC,RJ-45,RJ-11, Distribution I/O ยี่ห้อต่างๆ , เครื่องมืออื่นๆที่มี Port ที่ติดต่อกับเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ และอีกมากมาย
